He’ll discuss how to get dynamic images utilizing portable strobes by transforming light with grids, gels and other small modifiers. The techniques discussed in this class are easy to learn but will enable photographers to create unique pieces of art that will separate themselves from a sea of competition.

Read MoreMy photography journey started when I moved from my hometown in Italy to the States in 2008. I knew little to no English, with no job or family here. I relied on TV shows to learn English and in the process decided to go back to school. Eventually I landed a job as a software developer for a company manufacturing security cameras. This is where my story as a photographer began.
I bought my first DSLR and started taking photographs mostly because of my love for technology, but soon after, I realized there was more to it. I found meaning in connecting with people and expressing myself through images, so I decided to invest more time with my camera. I would wake up early, spend evenings waiting for the perfect sunset, and chase after the stars at night.
A few months ago I spoke with Orion Photo Group and made the decision to start this new endeavor with them. I’ve met new people and it’s been so fun sharing my passion for photography. Life can be unpredictable and wonderful if we allow for challenges to happen and are not afraid of change.
View our BlogIn my last wedding assignment, the bride and I spoke on the phone for over an hour. She shared with me that her father was dying of brain cancer. Since his coordination was not good, he was also confined to a wheelchair. There were tears on both ends. I asked her if it would be ok to not only do a first look with the groom, but also a first look with her dad. She didn’t want to complicate things for her father, but I promised that it would be quick, simple, yet meaningful. In fact, I told her that she’d thank me later. Despite her father’s inability to walk on his own, there wasn’t a dry eye in the room when he saw his daughter for the first time in her bridal gown. He was so overwhelmed that he insisted on standing up to give her a hug. I was so grateful to be able to capture those pictures, as well!
View our BlogI had a winter wedding that was smack-dab in the middle of the pandemic shutdown. With the wedding venue closed and four total wedding guests in attendance, the day essentially turned into an intimate micro wedding.
The wedding was outdoors, in the middle of December in Breckenridge, CO. Although the ceremony was cold, it was very beautiful. The couple designed and assembled their own altar! After the ceremony, I wandered around Breckenridge and spent hours photographing the bride & groom along with the best man and maid of honor. It was snowing and incredibly beautiful. I was honored to be able to capture the day for the couple, and this wedding was a great opportunity for my portfolio.
View our BlogI was shooting a wedding assignment for OPG back in 2021. I was booked three days before the event because the originally assigned photographer unexpectedly had been hospitalized. During our first conversation, the bride admitted to me that while looking at my portfolio, she realized it wasn’t really her style. However, this statement felt like a challenge and motivated me in the best way possible! I inquired a bit more to get a deeper understanding of her vision, and I assured her I’d do my best to deliver what she wanted.
I understand that all photographers have their own technique and I don’t mind going the extra mile to make a client happy. A couple weeks later, the bride sent me an email saying how pleased she was with the photo results. I felt so happy and appreciated that I had to share a snippet of her email:
"We received our photos back, and they are GORGEOUS! The amount of detail you captured, and all the special moments you photographed were amazing. You outdid yourself, I'm blown away with these photos and will cherish them all my life. Thank you from the bottom of my heart for making our wedding so special."
